Critics Choice Winner Angela Roscioli

The theme for my auto safety video first came about when I witnessed the aftermath of a bad car accident just outside of my house.  My thoughts turned to the people involved, and the notion of how I myself would handle such an experience.  Then the idea surfaced of a farewell letter to my parents written as if I had been involved in a fatal car accident.

While the letter carries the viewer through the video, viewers also witness poor decisions made by young drivers, such as speeding and not wearing seatbelts.

As a senior at Freedom High School in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, I make sure that my busy schedule doesn’t lead to distracted driving.  When not taking extra credit classes at our local community college, I spend time as a volunteer with Big Brothers Big Sisters.  Next year I plan to attend college to pursue a career in biology and genetics.”

Why Are We Doing This?

Simple: Safety is
everyone’s business.
Including ours. Auto accidents claim
the lives of more 16-21 year-olds than any
other cause. And we
hope your video will
help us change that.
