Creating a video is much easier if you plan ahead. Here are some simple guidelines:

Selecting Your Topic

There’s only one rule for this competition: Your video must be about some aspect of automobile or driving safety. Here are just a few examples:

  • Wearing seat belts
  • Keeping tires properly inflated
  • Avoiding distractions while driving (such as using cell phones)
  • Driving defensively

Once you’ve narrowed your topic, think about the most effective way to present it. Create a fictional scene? Tell a story about your own or someone else’s experience? Put together a how-to demonstration?

Once you’ve chosen and defined your subject, you’re ready to move on to planning and scripting.
