2009 SafetyScholars.com 2nd Place Winner Juliana Hinojosa

I have always been interested in different forms of artistic creation including painting, singing and even welding.  My interests are diverse and range from reading to auto mechanics.  Recently, I began experimenting with video production and editing. 

It was an obvious choice to make a film honoring my deceased brother and this new art form fit my message perfectly.  My film shows a few of the people who were touched by this tragedy and attempts to convey to others a fraction of the impact Ryan’s death had on the community around him.

I am currently a sophomore at Texas State University where I am majoring in Spanish with a minor in French. I am very grateful to have been chosen to participate in the Bridgestone Safety Scholars Video Contest!
